We are delighted to welcome a new mixed-use community building to the Downtown Los Angeles neighborhood. The grand opening took place on Thursday, November 6, 2019. The developers of the Rolland Curtis Gardens are Abode Communities. They have designed quality units to expand the affordable housing market in Los Angeles that we have had a chance to collaborate with them on.

Located at 1077 W.  38th Street, the new building accommodates 140 affordable family homes and a 6,500 sq. ft. federally qualified health center in addition to other facilities available to the residents. The floor plans for the homes range from 1 bedroom – 3 bedroom with rents ranging from $466 – $1,354 a month. These accommodations are available to people earning between 30% – 60% or lower of LA County’s median income.

The building provides many amenities available to its residents. The health center will provide medical services. Residents will also have access to computers, a community garden, resident center, and a children’s play area. These facilities will help improve the quality of life of the residents.  The establishment is conveniently located 100 ft. from the Metro Expo Vermont Station in South LA providing ample transit access.

Our scope of work included garage ventilation, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. As the outside weather changes, the temperature indoors also changes. A functioning HVAC  system maintaining temperatures at an average level avoiding overheating and freezing. By providing our services, these functions of the building will run smoothly, ensuring that all these systems work properly.
