Khalifeh and Associates is a highly experienced Engineering Consultation Firm in Marina Del Rey, CA that has been serving the Southern California area for over 30 years. We are currently seeking a dynamic, professional and experienced administrative assistant that will aid the CEO with daily duties as well aiding the office manager when necessary
The candidate will be responsible for general office administration such as report preparation, document/filing management, and supporting various projects and initiatives as directed by the manager.
In addition to the administrative and office duties, we are looking for an individual that is comfortable performing networking and social duties, occasionally being the face of the company and representing the leaders of the company at events and meetings.
Office Manager and Administration responsibilities:
- Create and edit engineering correspondences, reports, presentations, financial data, data analysis, communication, project work, expense preparation
and travel arrangements. - Support business process by completing documentation, requesting information and following up to ensure key timelines are adhered to.
- Conduct research and provide reports or information as required for special projects
- Conduct a variety of errands locally as required
- Maintain the highest level of accountability, disclosure, and regularly exercise a high degree of discretion
- Schedule meetings and appointments
- Support office manager when needed
- Coordinate with IT consultants on all office equipment and software issues
- Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers
- Provide general support to visitors
- Assist in hiring new employees and the onboarding process for new hires
- Liaise with facility management vendors, including cleaning and catering services
- Plan in-house or off-site activities, like parties, celebrations
and conferences
Requirements
- Self-starter who can contribute positively to a team
- Fast learner with Minimum supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
- Project Management Skills with ability to follow through and support the execution of key initiatives
- Act proactively as an individual and in a group to ensure a project or task has been completed efficiently
- Diploma or Certificate in Business, Accounting or related discipline preferred but not required
- Working as the office manager or Administrative assistant of an Engineering or Architectural office is an asset but not a requirement.
- Proven experience as an Office manager, Front office manager or Administrative assistant
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
- Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Familiarity with email scheduling tools, like Email Scheduler and Boomerang
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software is a plus
- Sales and customer relationship experience is a plus

Job Description
We are currently seeking a Plumbing Engineer to join our team in Marina Del Rey, California.
What we need from you:
- Build long term customer relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Effectively manage Plumbing and design projects by satisfying clients’ needs, meeting budget expectations and project schedules.
- Provide support during construction phases.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or completed Course Work in Plumbing.
- LEED Certification is a plus.
- Southern California Resident
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of experience minimum, individuals should have recent experience working for a consulting engineering or engineering/architectural firm designing plumbing systems.
- Experience in the following preferred:
- Residential
- Commercial
- Multi-Family
- Restaurants
SKILLS:
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in maintaining strong client relationships are required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people through oral presentations and written communications.
- Ability to motivate multiple-discipline project teams in meeting client’s needs in a timely manner and meeting budget objectives.
- Experienced at using a computer, preferably knowledgeable with MS Word, MS Excel, AutoCAD, and
REVIT is a plus.

Job Description
Position Summary
Khalifeh and Associates
The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating Mechanical concerns with the Design Team as required to support the MEP infrastructure needs. This position will provide assistance in construction quality control for projects and developing Mechanical drawings using current office mechanical engineering design standards, and developing new standards as required.
Skills
- Collaboration in multi-discipline project teams to develop drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors
and building owners. - Design HVAC systems based on the current California Mechanical (UMC) code requirements.
- Engineering calculations, equipment sizing
and selection. - Pipe sizing, equipment
and piping layouts - Develop project specifications.
- Other tasks as needed to ensure timely and thorough support to our clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum seven years experience in design of building HVAC systems for industrial, institutional, commercial and residential applications
- Experience in design of hydronic systems, DDC controls systems
- Extensive experience working in MEP consulting engineering office.
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency with energy pro, title- 24 compliance program
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, knowledge of BIM/REVIT is a plus
- Practical knowledge of building, mechanical codes
and standards. - Strong communication skills in English – written and oral
- Manage time effectively and be able to work independently
Desired
- LEED AP
- Experience with sustainable design
- Knowledge and experience with efficient Mechanical system designs
- Environmentally-minded
- Knowledge and familiarity with building codes (UMC)
